Inspired by Idaho’s rare and radiant state gem, the Star Garnet Women Leading Tech Award honors a woman whose leadership in technology is as exceptional as it is transformative. Her work exemplifies clarity of vision, strength under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to progress.
Like the star garnet—found almost exclusively in Idaho—she is rare, resilient, and brilliant from the inside out. Through strategic insight, innovation, and mentorship, she not only drives change—she leads it.
Sawtooth Educator Awards
The Sawtooth STEM Educator Award recognizes outstanding Idaho educators who go above and beyond to inspire students and advance excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Each year, three educators are selected—one from each of the following categories:
- K–6 STEM Educator
- 7–12 STEM Educator
- Higher Education STEM Educator (college, university, or other post-secondary setting)

The History of the Hall of Fame Gala
From Idaho’s agricultural roots to the International Space Station, the Idaho Technology Council’s annual Hall of Fame gala is the organization’s crescendo event that celebrates iconic Idahoans who have changed the way we work and play. This annual fall event (watch the events page for details) has become a cornerstone for Idaho’s tech ecosystem and is the place to connect and celebrate with other members of the community.
In addition to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, this event features the Idavation™ Awards sponsored by Scoggin Capital Investment, that highlight and celebrate the game changers and innovators that exemplify Idaho’s entrepreneurial spirit and are currently transforming Idaho’s future. Inductees have been selected from nominations gathered across the state and the winners will be announced live at the event. Be sure to join us live and catch the excitement!
To close out this amazing event, the ITC, along with Idaho STEM Action Center, presents the annual Sawtooth awards to two educators who “create unique opportunities for students to experience the fun and excitement of STEM by integrating real-world experiences and hands-on activities into the classroom.” Along with the physical award, each educator is presented a cash award to further the STEM experience for their students.
