Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my marketing credit for Hall of Fame Gala?
No. Marketing Credits may NOT be used for Hall of Fame Annual Gala. Hall of Fame sponsorships require direct paid invoices and are sold separately with different pricing.
Can I use marketing credits for website banner advertising?
Yes! Website banner advertising is one of the best uses of marketing credits - no F&B fees, year-round visibility, and measurable analytics. Many Silver members use their full $2,000 credit for the Website Visibility Package.
What is the food & beverage fee?
Marketing Credits for event sponsorships that include a table of attendees require a $500 F&B fee to cover catering costs. Digital-only sponsorships (website ads, Digital Masterclass, Spark Series, WiTECH Coffee Chats, Meet the Boss) have NO F&B fees.
Do marketing credits roll over if I don't use them?
No. Credits are annual and do not roll over to the following membership year. This encourages active engagement with ITC programming. However, if you have a small amount remaining (under $100), we'll note it and you can add it to next year's renewal.
Can I purchase sponsorships beyond my credit allocation?
Absolutely! Additional event sponsorships and website advertising are available at member discount rates (typically 15-20% off standard pricing). Members can add out-of-pocket funds to access higher-tier opportunities.
Can I split my credit across events AND website advertising?
Yes! This is one of the smartest strategies. Many Silver members allocate $1,000 to website advertising (3 months of visibility) and $1,000 to event sponsorships, creating year-round presence with balanced investment.
How do I track website banner ad performance?
ITC provides monthly analytics for Premium Placement and quarterly analytics for Secondary Placement and Logo Scroller. Reports include impressions, clicks, click-through rates, and geographic data to help you measure ROI.
What if I want to change my marketing portfolio mid-year?
If you haven't yet activated your credit and marketing hasn't launched, we can usually accommodate changes. Contact your ITC membership liaison at diane@idahotechcouncil.org or betsy@idahotechcouncil.org. Website ad placements require 30-day notice for changes.
Which option gives me the best ROI?
Website advertising typically offers the highest ROI because:
  • Zero F&B fees (saves $500+)
  • Year-round visibility (not just one event)
  • Measurable analytics (track actual performance)
  • Enterprise Package delivers 672,000+ annual impressions for $8,000
That said, event sponsorships provide invaluable in-person networking that can't be replicated digitally. The smartest approach is often a balanced portfolio of both.
