Idaho's Kids Need Computers
Many children do not have access to a suitable device to support distance learning.

Idaho Business for Education is coordinating with superintendents to provide the equipment needed for Idaho's students to be successful.
This has been an important issue but in the face of COVID-19 the need is amplified as schools transition to digital platforms.
How you or your company can help
Donate Computers
Computers capable of running modern browsers are needed. They do not need to be especially powerful, just functional. Both laptops and desktops are usable. There is additional need for accessory items, monitors, mice, keyboards, speakers and a large need for standard pc power cords. Some personal devices (tablets etc) may also be suitable.
IBE has two designated drop off locations in the Treasure Valley and have secured transportation to deliver the computers to students throughout all of Idaho.
Donate Time
Not all donors have the capability to ensure the existing data is appropriately erased. There is a need for volunteers capable of cleaning the computer both of pre-existing data but also sanitizing the exterior to prevent spread of virus.
Donate Money
Idaho Business for Education is creating the Internet for Students Emergency Fund. Donations will be used to help provide internet connectivity to students in households that do not have access to internet.
