The National Institute of Standards and Technology have released the focus of research and development opportunities for small businesses. These programs are offered through Small Business Innovation Research to encourage R&D promising for commercialization. Funding is available up to $100,000 for each project.

The areas of focus for these funding opportunities have been identified in the following areas:

  • Advanced Communications, Networks and Scientific Data Systems
  • Advanced Manufacturing and Material Measurements
  • Cybersecurity and Privacy
  • Fundamental Measurement, Quantum Science and Measurement Dissemination
  • Health and Biological Systems Measurements
  • Physical Infrastructure and Resilience
  • Exploratory Measurement Science
