Help Idaho Dept. of Labor Support Tech Workforce
The Idaho Department of Labor is looking for feedback to aid in workforce development planning for technology workers. Too much of the information we receive is anecdotal and it has been difficult accurately project industry requirements for this segment of the workforce.
The goal of this survey is to provide the Department with information about the positions and skills that your industry is having a hard time filling. The detail level of the survey is quite granular and we hope it will not be a burden. For some questions that require wage or other information that is not specifically in line with your company’s information, please use a reasonable midpoint range.
What’s in it for you and your business? The Department would like to create a report that details the technology workforce situation in the state to help companies like yours make informed workforce decisions. The Department will never publish or report individual companies’ data. It will remain entirely secure. The only way the data will be reported is in aggregate, to give a broad picture of the tech workforce in the state. The Department also hopes to use the information, in aggregate, as a comprehensive guide for education stakeholders to use when designing new curriculum.
This will help your company by ensuring that the state’s workforce development initiatives are directed toward areas where they are actually needed, not where the state thinks that they are needed.
Please help the Department advance the technology workforce in the state by participating in this survey. If you would like to participate, click this link to the survey. The survey will close at midnight on Friday, Feb. 17th.
