Hadi Partovi, co-founder and CEO of Code.org, will be our keynote speaker for the event. As the co-founder of Code.org, Hadi helped kickstart a worldwide revolution in creating opportunities for every student to learn computer science. Since its inception in 2013, Code.org has exposed countless students to foundational computer science principles and more than 100 million people have tried their Hour of Code. They’ve been instrumental in setting up policies to support computer science education in 16 states and their training programs has prepared more than 4,000 teachers to teach K - 12 computer science.
Code.org has agreed to form a partnership with Idaho by providing the curriculum and ongoing training for teachers. This will ensure that every student in Idaho will have the opportunity to develop the skills that are necessary in the 21st century, regardless of the student’s choice of career. Learn about the opportunities opening up to Idaho as it rapidly prepares its students to meet the demands of its technology companies.
